If you grew up in the 70’s or 80’s like me, you likely spent your lunch hours watching episodes from the ever-popular animated TV show called, The Flintstones. You just had to love the antics of Fred, Wilma and the gang. Timeless television. Reflecting back on it certainly elicits many fond memories of a life lived in a much simpler time.
One of my favourite childhood memories is sitting at the dining room table, talking into my little red recording device (I loved to jibber jabber away to myself–surprise! surprise!) while my mom worked away in the kitchen. On many occasions, I would ask her to sing Pebbles and Bamm Bamm’s, “Let the Sunshine In.” It was such a joyful song and I loved hearing my mom’s singing voice, which was a rarity around our house. The combination of the lyrics and her gentle tone was comforting much like the lunches that she would make us to accompany our cartoon watching.
Listen in and see if you can “open up your heart and let the sunshine in”… 🙂
Post full of lovely memories.

Pebbles got her name from the winner of the Flintstones baby name contest in the 60s.
