“A Hunting She Will Go…”

image

In pursuit of a,

fat mouse or a juicy bird,

Yarn simply won’t do!

Wanderlust

Gray Roots

My Gray Roots are showing through,

Colour-Me-Blonde in a week or two,

My gray roots are showing through,

Doesn’t seem to matter what I do.

My gray roots are showing through,

Wiry hairs causing one BIG hullabaloo!

My gray roots are showing through,

Time to throw an overt coup,

My gray roots are showing through,

“Silver it is, unless I go blue!”  🙂

Aaa-choo!

A mist, a spritz, or a spray will do,

Otherwise, you leave me no choice…

Aaa-choo! Aaa-choo! Achoo!

Perfume

Two Wrong Feet

I jump out of bed,

It’s time to go!

I surely can’t be late.

I hit the shower,

My breakfast I devour,

Off to work in a rush.

Something seems off,

It’ll have to do,

Finally, I arrive.

I paste on a smile,

Feels like I ran a mile,

I wonder if they’ll notice?

The meeting commences,

They warrant a look,

There’s nothing I can do.

The damage is done,

The laughs have begun,

We’ve all been there before.

Next time, I’ll get it right,

I swear I won’t hit snooze,

Then, maybe I’ll have on…

A matching pair of shoes.

Pretty Please With Sugar on Top?!

Well, it’s a good thing that we are not Avid barbecuers because once again our fate is one of a snow-covered nature.

After just having gotten rid of most of our Merry Easter weekend dumping of snow (nearly a foot), we woke up this morning only to discover that we will be socked in again with this unforgiving weather until Tuesday, at minimum.  So, I plead to my dear WordPress friends….

Does ANYONE out there have even a little hint of spring-like conditions that they would be willing to spare and EXPRESS courier our way?  Pretty please, with sugar on top?!!’

Our poor geese don’t know whether they are coming or going.  Yesterday, I literally saw them flying one way and then the other, honking madly in the process.  I think it’s safe to say that dazed and confused would be a good way to describe us all at this point in time.  I mean, we usually end up with one last crack at the cat for snow, but this is getting beyond ridiculous.  I almost have to wonder if April Fool’s Day has somehow turned into April Fool’s MONTH.  Ahhhh…..help!

May Day, May Day…” literally!

We NEED the month of May to get here fast to get us out of this everlasting mess.  Hopefully.  I even promise to be a good girl.  Meanwhile, I will gladly accept any Express Post mail, my friends;-).

Our Bunny Cat

Our ‘bunny’ cat bathing in the post-Easter sun.  She certainly elicits a few Chuckles from us!  One of the many reasons we love her so:-).
