Monkey on Your Back
This Glass on our lanai makes me smile wide
Its contents are pure with a lightly sweet scent
The vibrant yellow center is reminiscent of the sun
Its white petals are so delicate and velvety, five altogether
The similarly coloured monkey watches over it carefully
I wonder what it’s like to be a plumeria with a monkey on your back?!
