Summer is…sunlight streaming through the windows at dawn’s early crack. Summer is …the feeling of warmth on my pale face. Summer is…patiently watching and awaiting for the ‘fruits’ of our vegetable garden. Summer is…a lazy day spent however I like. Summer is…the warm breeze that I feel around me. Summer is…the taste of all things fresh, cold and quenching. Summer is…camping with family and friends and enjoying each other’s company. Summer is...watching sunsets whose colourful light adds dimension to all thing living and non-living. Summer is…juicy slices of luscious pink watermelon for supper. Summer is…the endless sounds of buzzing and chirping. Summer is...when daytime and nighttime become a welcome blur of everlasting light.

Summer invigorates life with the sun pouring its boundless energy upon us and all life around us. It is a time for growth, a time joy, a time for celebration. I love going to our neighborhood pool with a packed picnic basket and a favorite drink so we can meet with friends and catch up on what is happening in each others lives.
